Baden Sports/Next Level Football Combine takes center stage in Steubenville Posted on 31 March 2008 at 02:02 PM by Ryan Nolan The first Baden Sports/Next Level Football Combine for 2008 was held at Harding Stadium this past weekend with over 200 athletes participating from Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Although the temperatures outside were a bit cool the heat turned up as the testing began. Genoa High School Running Back Blair Skilliter turned in a blazing time in the shuttle running at 4.16. Top Honors in the 40 went to Skilliter and De'Sean Joseph of Euclid High School, both players recorded official electronic times of 4.48. Blair broke Genoa's 100 meter dash record two weeks ago with a time of 10.63 and he did his personal best time in the 200 at 22.5 seconds. The Speed Performance Training system training also helped Blair Skilliter to make it to regionals in the 100 meter dash just barely missing going to the 2007 Ohio State High School Track and Field Championships from just nine training sessions. Blair just recently was involved in a High School combine at University of Toledo where he beat out all of the other High School athletes in the 40 yard dash at 4.4 seconds and the highest vertical jump at 34 inches, he is a junior at Genoa High School. Keep an eye out for this young man he is going to make some impressive plays and gains in this year's football season!
