Training with the Speed Performance Training program under the direction of Steve Hieskell has been one of my family's greatest investments ever. With my consistent attendance and Steve's dedication I was able to go above and beyond my goals in track and field. Just eleven months ago in July(2004, before my 9th grade year in High School) I had peaked for the track season in the 400 meter dash at a 59.2. By then I had been having a hard time trying to break 58 seconds. January of 2005, I started my normal weight lifting program with my dad to get stronger for this years track season. At this time my goal for the 400 meters was 55.9. Just getting down to a 57 was going to be difficult let alone a 55 seeing as how I hadn't even ran a 58 yet. A little after February of 2005 my family and I were introduced to the Speed Performance Training program.... it has been nothing but progression since. From last years 400-meter time (59.2) I have dropped 5 whole seconds (54.2) and hope to drop 1 more second before the summer is over... And surprisingly my 200-meter time has dropped 2 seconds (26.5 to 24.6) as well. Not only do I have 2 amazing pr's (personal records) I hold E.L. Bowsher High School's girls 200 (24.6) and 400 meter (54.2) records, the city league record for the 400 (54.4), and I am also the Division 1 Girls 200 meter State Champion, and I finished 3rd at state in the 400 meters. Thanks to Steve and Speed Performance I was able to accomplish these great things all my freshman year.************************************************* Congratulation goes out to Meshawn Graham of Bowsher High School for winning the 2006 USATF National Junior Olympic Track and Field Championships in the 400-meter intermediate girls race. Meshawn ran her best time ever with a 53.57. Congratulations to Meshawn Graham for winning the 100 meter dash and placing second in the 400 meter at the 2007 Division I Ohio State High School Track and Field Championships. Meshawn had a personal best with the second fastest time in the nation in the 400 at 52.21 which broke the state record which was 53.47. Jessica Beard from Euclid won the 400 with the fastest time in the nation at 51.63. Meshawn was won the 100 and 200 meter dashes at the Division I Ohio State High School Track and Field Championships and is an All-American in the 400 meters. She has accepted at a scholarship at the University of Michigan. Good Job Meshawn! |

Congratulations goes to Katherine Jamienson probably the best female athlete in the State of Ohio, she broke the State record in the Division III 300 hurdles last year. This year she placed second in both the 100 and 300 hurdles and placed fifth in the 200 meter sprint. The young woman that beat her had to run the fastest race of her life and had to go to a level that broke the state record in order to beat Katherine, which shows you the effort that was needed to place above her. During basketball she broke through the 1000 point barrier and has received a scholarship from Michigan State in field hockey, how about that, find me another athlete male or female that has reached that level of play! Congratulation goes out to Aeric Clay had a slow start out of the block but came in fourth at the 2007 Ohio State high School Track and Field Championships. In 2006 Aeric placed second in the 100-meter dash at the Ohio State High School Track and Field Championships. Earlier that year during indoor track season Aeric tore it up in the 60-meter dash at Bowling Green University, that time placed him 8th in the United States for High School Boys Indoor Track. Aeric rushed for 377 yards breaking the City record in his first debut in football in the season opener agaist Sylvania since his junior High School days. |
- Katie Reiser

Congratulation goes to Katie Reiser from Elmwood High School for winning both the 100 and 200 meter sprints at the Ohio State High School Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships! Earlier this year at the Ohio State High School Indoor Track and Field Championships she broke the State Division II record with another young lady in the 60 meter sprint with a time of 7.59. Katie will be receiving a scholarship from Kent State. Katie also placed 1st in the 60 meter dash at the Sid Sink Bowling Green Meet with a blistering time of 7.76 sec. She also placed first in the 55 meter dash at the Ohio Northern High School Indoor meet held on 1/2/2010 to rank her number in the State of Ohio for that event! Also Kalia Gardner placed second and Jade Turpening placed 5th both who have been trained at Your Fitness Answer. "I began training with Steve in November 2008. His training has helped me become a better sprinter. Since I began training with Steve, I placed 5th in the 60 meter dash at the OATCCC Division II/III State Indoor Track Championships bettering my time by two tenths of a second. Steve's training also helped me become a Division III State Runner-Up in the 100 and 200 meter dash at the 2009 OHSAA State Outdoor Track Championships. In the 100 meter dash, I bettered my time by over two tenths of a second with a time of 12.11. In the 200 meter dash, my time bettered by over four tenth of a second with a time of 24.94. I also began running the 400 meter dash this year and ran a school record time of 59.73 sec." |

Baden Sports/Next Level Football Combine takes center stage in Steubenville Posted on 31 March 2008 at 02:02 PM by Ryan Nolan The first Baden Sports/Next Level Football Combine for 2008 was held at Harding Stadium this past weekend with over 200 athletes participating from Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Although the temperatures outside were a bit cool the heat turned up as the testing began. Genoa High School Running Back Blair Skilliter turned in a blazing time in the shuttle running at 4.16. Top Honors in the 40 went to Skilliter and De'Sean Joseph of Euclid High School, both players recorded official electronic times of 4.48. Blair broke Genoa's 100 meter dash record two weeks ago with a time of 10.63 and he did his personal best time in the 200 at 22.5 seconds. The Speed Performance Training system training also helped Blair Skilliter to make it to regionals in the 100 meter dash just barely missing going to the 2007 Ohio State High School Track and Field Championships from just nine training sessions. Blair just recently was involved in a High School combine at University of Toledo where he beat out all of the other High School athletes in the 40 yard dash at 4.4 seconds and the highest vertical jump at 34 inches, he is a junior at Genoa High School. Keep an eye out for this young man he is going to make some impressive plays and gains in this year's football season! Go to the link at the bottom of the home page to watch a video of Blairin action on the Next Level Football Web Site. |

Working with Steve has greatly improved my all around athletic ability and skill level. Since working with Steve I have dropped two tenths of a second off my forty time, and at least a half second off of my 100 time. The acceleration work I participated in on the treadmill helped me reach new levels of speed and quickness that I never could have achieved before being trained by Steve. The vibration platform has improved my squat by 70 pounds and my bench press has increased by almost 40 lbs. Steve has everything a personal trainer needs: Intensity, Passion, and Enthusiasm. Steve will work with you to best suit your individual goals. Thanks to Steve I have improved my athletic ability to a degree where I can excel above the competition. My name is Emma LaBeau. I'm a 2008 graduate of Monroe Saint Mary Catholic Central High School in Monroe, Mi. I've been a two sport athlete- basketball and softball. I am currently on my 3rd package of ten sessions with Steve. I'm much quicker and stronger than ever. My explosiveness - particularly for basketball has noticeably improved. My goals were to improve my strength and quickness. I've realized great gains in both areas. My speed continues to improve on the treadmill and I've also had a huge weight increase in the vibration squat. Last winter I was 1st team All State in basketball in Michigan and averaged over 26 points per game. Training with Steve really helped my overall game- particularly my ability to take the ball past people to the basket. As I prepare for the beginning of my college basketball career, I plan to do one more summer session with Steve and continue to set new standards for myself. I recommend training at Your Fitness Answer. It has been great for me. Sincerely, Emma LaBeau |

My name is Justin Linzy; I came to the Speed Performance Program hoping to maximize my speed. I knew if I came and worked hard I would reach my goals of running fast times for the up-coming track season. I previously was enrolled in the Mercy Acceleration Program of Toledo. During summer of 2006, I went from 20 mph to 21.5, which gave me great benefits at the start of the track season. Since working with Steve and the Speed Performance program this summer in just nine training sessions I have gone from 20 to 26 mph. I can?t imagine the types of times I will run this winter and spring. The Speed Performance program has taken me to another level as a sprinter. The treadmill along with the vibration platform teaches your fast twitch muscle fibers to completely fire at once, giving you the most explosive force you have ever experienced. Running on the specially designed treadmill with a slightly over-emphasized form and focusing more on your form will show how to stay efficient and powerful throughout the race. I want to thank Steve for all his help and I encourage all those wanting to be a better athlete to come work with Steve at Your Fitness Answer. Here is a quote I found but author is unknown. THE MORE I TRAIN! The stronger I get The stronger I get The faster I become The faster I become The more races I win The more races I win The longer I dominate The longer I dominate The harder people work against me The harder people work against me THE MORE I TRAIN! I began training with Steve my sophomore year of high school at St. Mary Catholic Central in Monroe, Michigan. And I must say training with steve has been worth every penny! Since I have been working with Steve, I have improved my 200 meter time (26.0 - 25.3) and my 400 meter time (60.0-58.1). Training with Steve has helped me gain more leg and arm muscle to really get me through those last 100 meters of a race. My flexability has also improved tremendously. This year during my junior season, I was league and regional champ in the 100,200 and 400 meter races. I remained undefeated throughout the entire season until the state meet when I placed 2nd in those 3 events. My goal next year is to win all three of those. I now have 4 school records (100, 200, 400, 400m relay) under the wonderful training of Steve, and I still have another year left of high school. I hope to improve my 200 time to 24 seconds, and my 400 to 55 seconds next year as a senior. I know Steve will guide me in that direction :) 2008 Michigan Division III State Meet *Runner Up in Following* 100 - 12.44 400 - 58.58 200 - 25.58 |
- Lucas Whitman, Guard and Defensive Tackle

|
|
My name is Lucas Whitman. I'm 6 ft tall and 260 lbs. I've been a client of Steve for the last 4 years. When I first started with Steve my goal was to get in better shape, get stronger and faster. One goal of mine was to get down to a 5 second 40-yard dash time by my senior year. I had run a 6 second 40-yard dash time the summer after my freshman year. I have worked with Steve closely and right before my senior year I had run a 4.9 second 40-yard dash time. Not only that, but a couple of years ago I could barely jump up and touch the net of a regulation basketball hoop. After working with Steve, I am very close to being able to dunk a basketball. Which has related to an increase of my vertical leap of 6 inches from 20 inches to now 26 inches. I am more agile and faster than I ever been, and not to mention stronger and more explosive thanks to the Pneu-FAST Speed Performance Training program and Steve's ability to adapt workout routines for specific sports and needs. I would recommend training at Your Fitness Answer for anyone of any age. Whether one would want to get in shape, build their muscles or enhance their performance in any sport (run quicker, jump higher and to prevent injuries)***************** Lucas Whitman from Monroe's St Mary's Catholic Central his helped his team to the Michigan State High School Football Championships to second place. Lucas was also written up as being one of the best players in the Michigan All Star game. |

- Tyler Winkleman, Perrysburg High School Basketball, Team player
I began working out at Your Fitness Answer in the fall of 2004, in preparation for my high school basketball season. I had worked out at the YMCA in the Frappier Acceleration program prior to going to Your Fitness Answer, and felt that the Acceleration program was the best available. I went to Your Fitness Answer on a one time trial basis, and after going once; I knew that it was a superior program. I have benefited immensely as a result of my workouts at Your Fitness Answer. My increased vertical jump has allowed me to become third in my league in rebounding, while my increased foot speed has allowed me to better defend smaller, quicker players when I am on defense. As a result of my participation in Steve's program, I have lost twenty pounds, and increased my weight lifting in nearly every core lift. As much as I feel I have improved physically from working out with Steve, I believe the greatest benefit is the resistance to injury the program provides. Prior to working out with Steve I had several back problems, so Steve targeted my abs and came up with some great abdominal workouts, which toned and increased my abdominal muscles. I have had no problems with my back since training with Steve, and I fully attribute that to our workouts together. The most important difference I noticed from working out with Steve as opposed to working out in the Frappier Acceleration program is the individual attention you receive. Steve is with you during each of your workouts, tailors your workouts to meet your needs, and makes sure that you don't slack off when you should be working hard. I have recommended Your Fitness Answer to many of my friends, and would recommend it to anyone looking to get into the best shape of their life.
